Olivier Boscagli was acquired from France's OGC Nice in 2019 at the age of 21. The Monegasque was presented as a versatile defender, but initially had to rely mainly on substitutions as left back. In his second season in Eindhoven service, however, Olivier grew into one of the revelations of the Eredivisie. The former French youth international proved to be a stable central defender with a splitting pass - a quality that sometimes saw him deployed as a 'six'.

Six years after his arrival, the trophy cabinet of one of the longest-serving selection players is richly filled: one national title, two TOTO KNVB Cups and three Super Cups.
