In the summer of 2023, PSV will attract Malik Tillman, a young attacking midfielder from Bayern Munich's youth academy. PSV audiences already know the American for his assist on a goal by Rangers FC in the 2022-2023 preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League-a goal that sends PSV to the UEFA Europa League.

Rangers FC rents Malik from the German superpower, and although the Scots would like to keep him for another year, the technician opted for a rental period at PSV. In Eindhoven, he quickly adapted to the game of head coach Peter Bosz, and at the end of the season PSV took him over permanently from Bayern Munich.

In the 2024-2025 season, the U.S. international plays a heroic role in a UEFA Champions League Phase match with Shakhtar Donetsk. Trailing 2-0, Malik shoots in the 87th minute from a free kick. Three minutes later, he scored a world-class goal, and PSV eventually won the game 3-2.
