In the battle for an European Championship ticket, Orange took on Greece on Thursday. Both Joey Veerman and Noa Lang started on the reserve bench, in what ended up being a PSV-tinged evening.

Orange
At Philips Stadium, the final score was set at 3-0 in the first half, with former players Denzel Dumfries and Cody Gakpo the standouts. Noa and Joey filled in in the second half. After the game, Veerman had a double celebration: his girlfriend gave birth to a boy, Frenkie Joe Veerman. In the away game against Ireland (1-2) on Monday, national coach Ronald Koeman had Noa fill in again, but the brand-new father spent the match as a substitute.

The match Young Oranje - Young Moldova was one that Isaac Bababi will not soon forget. Not only did he make his debut in the promising team, he also scored immediately. In minute 67 he shot the 2-0 into the ropes. A nice boost for Isaac, who eventually saw his team win 3-0.

USA
Another player who scored during the international period was Ricardo Pepi. He came on halfway through the friendly against Uzbekistan and found the net in injury time. Malik Tillman also came on and also made his mark. He earned a penalty kick that led to the 3-0, also the final score of the match. Sergiño Dest played the entire match. On Wednesday, Sept. 13, the USA kicks off again, this time against Oman.

Belgium, Morocco and Argentina
The Belgian team's right flank was covered on Saturday by Johan Bakayoko. He traveled with the 'Red Devils' to Azerbaijan, playing for his country for the fourth time. And with success: with three points in his pocket, a starting place and an assist on goal scorer Yannick Carrasco, Johan can look back on a successful game. On Tuesday it will become clear whether Belgium will make it through this EC qualification round unscathed, when the team takes on Estonia.

Two PSV players could make their international debut on the same night: Walter Benítez for Argentina and Ismael Saibari for Morocco's national team. He will take on Burkina Faso in a friendly, while Walter will play a qualifying game on a visit to Bolivia. Actually, Morocco was supposed to play a qualifying match against Liberia, but that game was postponed due to the severe earthquake in the North African country.
