Ramalho wants to win for 'Olli': 'He is very important for the team'

André Ramalho sees the loss of Olivier Boscagli as a loss for PSV. The defender himself has just recovered from a serious foot injury and now sees his partner in the heart of the defense fall away. On the eve of the encounter with Leicester City, however, Ramalho trusts the width of the squad. "We have quality enough to deal with such setbacks," he said.

Battle plan
"We will have to start the match focused," Ramalho knows. "In England we played a good match. We were strong individually and the organization was right. In addition, I trust the attacking qualities of our forward players. We won't let ourselves get crazy and will play our own game."

Boscagli
Ramalho will have to miss his comrade in the heart of the defense in the remaining games of the current season. "It is a big disappointment that Olivier cannot finish the season because of his injury. Olivier was very important to the team. We had a good click together inside and outside the lines. The blind mutual trust was there and we were well matched. Of course, it's never nice to have to miss your buddy in the center of the defense."

Wide selection
"With Jordan Teze, among others, we can make up for this loss," the Brazilian defender remains positive. "With Jordan I also played a lot together. Also several times in the heart of the defense. He is developing excellently this season. Our selection is broad and strong enough to accommodate some injuries. That also became apparent when I had to watch from the sidelines for a few months. If we keep the zero again tomorrow, I am convinced that we will reach the next round."
