Sparta Rotterdam finished fifteenth last season on its return to the Eredivisie. Currently, head coach Alex Pastoor's team is one place higher, a position the club also hopes to hold at the end of this season.

No away win
The Rotterdammers will not travel to the Philips Stadium with too much confidence. Sparta has been waiting for a win in six away games. That makes it one of the four teams that have yet to win an away game this Eredivisie season. Beating PSV will be a tough task. Phillip Cocu and his team have already won seventeen home games in a row.

Scoring struggles
Sparta has struggled to find the net this season. The team has scored only eleven times in thirteen games. The problem lies in the team's efficiency. Only eight percent of Rotterdam's shots result in a goal. Together with NAC Breda and Roda JC Kerkrade, Sparta is the least efficient team in the Eredivisie.

Top scorer and striker
Robert Mühren is the designated man to provide the goals. The striker, rented from Zulte Waregem, has scored three goals and provided four assists so far. In recent weeks, Mühren has acted mainly as a reliever. In Sparta's last three premier league goals, he provided the decisive cross.
