After reaching the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, Peter Bosz and Ismael Saibari were naturally in high spirits. The gold medalist took the opportunity to thank Sangaré for a few words of wisdom.

"We started off a little unsettled and walked too far back after the 2-0," Bosz began his story. "For the rest we went well. It wasn't easy because they came out better than last week. We scored the goals at the right moments, which allowed us to pull the game to us."

Bosz praised Saibari afterwards. "If we had served him well, he would have made two last week. Now we did and then you see what he can do. He played well and the applause he got at his substitution was fantastic." At the same time, Bosz also had good words to say for Jerdy Schouten. "He was very valuable for us. He is a midfielder with a lot of insight and then you can also play at the back. He proved that today."

Ismael Saibari made a big impression with his two goals. The midfielder cum striker says he got goose bumps from the celebration afterwards at Philips Stadium. The gold medalist also paid compliments to his "big brother" Ibrahim Sangaré: "He was important to me when I didn't play much last year. Today, after the first goal, he reminded me to stay focused. That paid off."

The Moroccan youth international, meanwhile, agrees that he started playing better football after the summer break. There is an important reason for this, he says: "The Africa Cup was very physical and that helped me. It gave me a boost that made me play with more confidence."
