PSV is national champion. Head coach Peter Bosz 's team initially fell behind, but now holds its 25th national title.

"It was a typical championship game, because it was not good football. Maybe it was our worst game of the season, but we scored four goals despite that. That says a lot about the potential we have," kicked off Peter Bosz. "The season has been great. As a coach, you need time to get to know the group. It's unique that things got going so quickly and that we hardly experienced any weak moments. A championship has to do with showing it every week. We have done that."

With the victory, PSV is still on course to match the all-time points record and even improve it in terms of goal difference. "We have the chance to reach the unique record of 93 points. Cruijff's team is best team the Netherlands has ever had. If we can match that, that's very special."

Early season confidence
Guus Til indicated that he knew early in the season that things were headed in the right direction. "Peter gave us a lot of confidence early on. He called us the best team he has worked with. The coach has worked at big clubs, so that was very special to me. It gave us a lot of confidence."

Italian mentality
Jerdy Schouten joined PSV just as the Head Coach did this summer. "The Italian mentality has helped me in wanting to win, but I am happy that we are playing attractive football. I like that. They sometimes say that the champion wins bad matches. That seems to be true. That it all falls so well within a season is incredible. We have shown that we play the best football in the Netherlands."
