Jordan Teze may officially call himself an international of the Dutch national team. On Wednesday night, the 22-year-old defender made his debut in the away match against Wales. With Teze in the lines, the Dutch won 2-1 in Cardiff.

Teze played the full ninety minutes in the Nations League match. Coach Louis van Gaal also allowed Cody Gakpo to start from the kickoff. Afterwards, Teze received the traditional bunny from the KNVB as a memento of his debut. "I am incredibly proud of my first international. This is a wonderful feeling," the fresh international announced.

Van Gaal first called up Teze for the Dutch national team in March. At the time, the defender had to leave the team's training camp early because of an injury. In the last international period of the current football season, the PSV Academy player will get a new chance. Last Friday, Teze remained on the bench for the entire match against Belgium. Next week the Dutch Team plays home matches against Poland and again Wales.
