PSV has broken open the contract of Jason van Duiven and extended it by one year. The 18-year-old striker is thus fixed until mid-2026. He will also finish the season on a rental basis with Almere City.

Jason van Duiven joined PSV Academy six years ago. The Almelo native showed exceptional qualities. For example, he is technically proficient, head strong and has a high speed of action. In 2022-2023 in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, he was considered the regular striker of Young PSV. He played all 34 league games, scoring 15 goals. This season Jason joined the A-selection, where it has not yet come to an official debut due to stiff competition.

In the First Division, meanwhile, he continued scoring goals; his season total now stands at six. He also gained experience in the prestigious UEFA Youth League and was part of the team that won the Premier League International Cup last year.

Confidence
PSV expresses its confidence in Jason through the contract extension, says Director Earnest Stewart: "He has proven in recent years to be a very talented striker. We are therefore very pleased that we have succeeded in keeping him with us for longer. Meanwhile, to ensure that he continues to develop in the coming period, we have opted for a rental period. At Almere City he will get the chance to show himself in the Eredivisie."
