The upper ring on the north side of Philips Stadium is getting an upgrade. The outside will be sealed off, catering points will get better facilities and there will be more toilets. PSV hopes to begin the project next season.

Director Philips Stadium Sjors van den Boogaart says upgrading supporter facilities is a long-term project. "On the upper ring on the north side we have the most ground to gain. The exterior is still partially open now, making it unprotected from precipitation. The new look is inspired by the Philips Stadium from the 1970s."

Short queues
At the same time, PSV is tackling the restrooms and catering points. "Extra toilets and better catering facilities should ensure short queues. We are still in talks with the municipality about the start date, but I expect that we can make a substantial start as early as next season."
