PSV has opened up Jordan Teze 's contract and extended it for another season. On Friday afternoon, the 22-year-old defender signed his new commitment at Philips Stadium. Teze is now under contract with PSV until mid-2025.

Child of the club
Teze has been a PSV player all his life. The young defender will begin his 16th season with the club next summer. "Today I am signing a contract with PSV for the fourth time. I feel myself very connected to this club. As a young boy I came in here and I quickly felt myself at home. I am very grateful for all that I have experienced here to date."

Special day
Things can't get any better for the right-back at the moment. Earlier in the day, national coach Louis van Gaal announced that Teze is part of the Dutch national team's final selection for the upcoming Nations League duels. "It is actually unfathomable. I have worked extremely hard in recent months to earn a call-up for Oranje. I looked at my phone today and saw to my great joy that I have succeeded. To top it all off, I now get to sign a new contract with PSV. A nicer day could hardly be imagined."

Development
The renewed contract is a token of appreciation for Teze's development. The native of Groningen has been an official member of PSV's A-selection since 2019 and has played a lot of duels in recent years. "We are pleased that Jordan is committing himself to PSV for even longer," echoes technical director John de Jong. "The past two seasons he was a base player. He did that very well. It led to a call-up for the Dutch national team. Jordan has the potential to develop himself and the team to a higher level."
