  1. Match report

This first practice match of the new season was played in three 25-minute periods.

In the beginning of the match, the sides were evenly matched. ADO immediately went on the attack but created no real chances. The first opportunity for PSV was in the eighth minute. Jayden shot hard but the ADO goalkeeper stopped the shot. PSV started to play sloppily after that. ADO also hardly created any chances in the first period so the score was still 0-0 after 25 minutes.

PSV started the second period better. After a deep ball from Joost, Jayden played the ball over the ADO goalie. The ball missed the goal via an ADO player and the post. A few minutes later a distance shot by Mohamed went just over the goal. PSV started to combine better but did not create any real chances. ADO allowed themselves to be pushed back for a short time but then got out from under PSV's pressure. The best chance in this period, however, was for PSV. Joost captured the ball in midfield and played it to Niek. Niek's cross was headed just wide by Jayden. The score after the second period was 0-0.

In the third period the pace increased. The first PSV opportunity was turned away by the ADO goalie. In the 57th minute, an ADO player shot the ball against the crossbar. Four minutes later, Heritier did the same after a nice combination between him and Luuk. For a long time it looked like this match would end scoreless but in the 62nd minute it was PSV who scored. Heritier rounded the visitors' goalkeeper and laid the ball back to Niek. Niek shot the ball low inside, 1-0. In the last 10 minutes of the match, PSV had an advantage. Yet ADO had the best opportunity to score. However, the shot by an ADO player did not go into the goal via Robin and the post so the final score was 1-0.
