PSV has been eliminated in the Cup. Head coach Peter Bosz 's team went down 1-0 at De Kuip. Afterwards, journalists wondered how the defeat hit PSV 1, which is on title terms in the Eredivisie.

"We are sick to death of it, because we want to win everything. That didn't happen today, unfortunately. The first part of the game we were in control, until the phase when Feyenoord scored. Suddenly we were covering from distance and it was logical that the goal fell. Despite some conversions, we didn't have very many chances in the second half," Bosz analyzed.

The key Wednesday night lay with Stengs, the free man in Feyenoord's side. "So we had to cover well on him. We did that well for a long time too, but in the phase when they scored it didn't work," said Bosz, who found PSV playing better than last Sunday: "We came to play football, much more than against FC Utrecht."

Penalty moment
A crucial moment in the match was undoubtedly the penalty moment in the second half, when Mats Wieffer floored Noa Lang in the sixteen. "I immediately thought it was a penalty kick and afterwards I turned out to be right," Bosz said. "It's a key moment in the match, because he already had yellow. It was crucial. I don't want to point at the referee, because VAR should have helped him. He failed to do that."
