A DHL parcel vending machine was recently installed at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. This machine allows supporters and local residents to send and pick up packages at any time.

DHL is currently placing hundreds of parcel vending machines. Many of these appear at sports clubs. These appear to be highly frequented and easily accessible locations. A number of other professional football clubs preceded PSV with an automatic parcel machine at their stadium. In addition, DHL is logistics partner of the national women's teams of field hockey, football, handball and volleyball. Numerous backyard amateur clubs would like to see a parcel machine placed at their accommodation. For each package in the machine, the club receives compensation.

Michel Clausing, Chief Commercial Officer at DHL eCommerce Benelux, shares his enthusiasm about the partnership: "We are proud of our cooperation with this top club in the premier league. We recognize ourselves in PSV's sky-high ambition to want to be the best on all fronts. More and more people are opting for delivery to a service point. At DHL Pakketautomaten you can also go 24/7. A parcel point at a sports club is a win-win for the club, DHL, the supporters and local residents."

The new service in the center of Eindhoven fits well with PSV's role in the regional community, according to PSV's Commercial Director Frans Janssen. "Our location in the heart of the city is very special and allows us to add something for supporters and local residents. This is a great example of that. It fits very well with the central position we as a club occupy within our surroundings."
