The Czech player Matěj Kovář joined PSV in the summer of 2025. Matěj spent part of his youth career at Manchester United in England and subsequently gained valuable experience during loan stints at Swindon Town, Burton Albion FC, and Slavia Prague. His definitive breakthrough came at Bayer Leverkusen, which signed him in 2023. In Germany, he was part of the historic team that won the club’s first-ever Bundesliga title during the 2023–2024 season.
