Jeffrey Oomens has collected as many as 60 PSV shirts. He started this hobby not long ago. "I've had a season ticket for years. I bought a shirt every year, but I often sold it again. Since the corona crisis I really started collecting them."
Exclusive player shirts
The oldest shirt in the collection comes from 1989. That's the shirt Romário still played in! "I have all but one of the shirts since that year," Oomens says proudly. "I even have exclusive player shirts!" He shows the away shirt from last season. "This one belonged to Mario Götze. I'm so happy I was able to get this. After all, he is the player who took Germany to the World Championships!"
Hobby
His hobby started during the corona crisis. By chance, he came across an old PSV shirt on Marktplaats. "I then started looking further on different sites and came across many more," he said. He decided to collect them. "At one point, several shirts a day came in myself," he says.
'Small collection'
He is now also in a WhatsApp group with all kinds of other collectors. In the group they share, among other things, websites where old shirts can be obtained. "I still only have a small collection," he laughs. "There are people who have a lot more." With collecting, he is far from finished. "I especially want to focus on player jerseys. I think that's the coolest thing!"
