PSV has reached an agreement with Bodø/Glimt regarding the transfer of Mikkel Bro Hansen. The 17-year-old forward has signed a three-year contract in Eindhoven and will wear jersey number 23.
Bro Hansen is regarded internationally as a promising talent. Despite his young age, he has already played fifteen official matches for Bodø/Glimt’s first team. In those matches, he scored eight goals and recorded three assists. The player from Lystrup is also making his mark on the international stage. As a forward for Denmark’s U-17 team, for example, he scored thirteen goals in sixteen matches.
“We are incredibly pleased that Mikkel has chosen PSV,” says Director of Football Earnest Stewart. “We’ve been following him for a long time, and our contact has intensified in recent months. We see Mikkel as a player with enormous potential and are fully confident that he can continue to develop in the best possible way at PSV. For his age, he’s already remarkably advanced. He possesses scoring ability, moves intelligently off the ball, and displays a great deal of energy and conviction in his play. In addition, he has already gained experience at a high level at a young age, which speaks volumes about his qualities and mentality. Mikkel knows exactly what he wants, which we also noticed in the many conversations we’ve had recently.”
Bro Hansen signed his contract at PSV Campus De Herdgang, in the presence of his family and agents. “For me, it was an easy choice when PSV told me they were interested in me,” said the brand-new signing. “It’s a big club, and they had a perfect plan for my future laid out for me. And in the past, they’ve proven here that they can make that happen. Just look at guys like Xavi Simons, Noni Madueke, Ismael Saibari , and so on. I’ll be joining the first team full-time. Initially, I’ll be playing matches for PSV U21, but I’m going to push for as many minutes as possible with the first team. I can’t wait to get started.”
