Young PSV is taking Australian winger Marcus Younis on a rental basis from Western Sydney Wanderers FC. The 19-year-old promise has signed a one-year contract.

Marcus Younis started at the Wanderers Academy seven years ago and has played 10 games for the first team. In those games, he scored twice and provided two assists. During the forty games he played for the pledge team, he scored thirteen times and gave ten assists. Like Young PSV, the O21 squad of the club from Australia's largest city plays at the second professional level.

Perfect environment

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Technical Manager of Young PSV, is pleased with the arrival of the Australian youth international. "Marcus is a fast and explosive winger with great scoring ability. We scouted him for a long time and are convinced of his qualities. At Young PSV, he comes in the perfect environment to take the next step."

"I'm very happy to be here," the young Australian says enthusiastically. "A few weeks ago my father told me PSV was interested. I don't know exactly how they tracked me down, but that was a pleasant surprise. I'm a guy who works very hard for the team, runs a lot, dribbles and takes on the one-on-one."
