PSV has secured its third reinforcement of the transfer period with Patrick van Aanholt. The winger comes on loan from Galatasaray SK for the rest of the season. The 19-time international was already active in PSV Academy from 2007 to 2009.
"That was still at the old complex," says Patrick, who is happy to be back. "I can't wait to get started. I already know some of the guys, like Xavi Simons. It's a nice and strong selection." The 32-year-old defender has already played 426 games in professional football. In those, he scored 35 times and gave 34 assists.
Vacancy
PSV had to act quickly after Philipp Max's move to Eintracht Frankfurt. "The departure of Philipp created a vacancy that we were able to fill quickly with the arrival of Patrick," said General Manager Marcel Brands. It is not PSV's first attempt to bring in the left-back. "We had tried it before in the past. We are very happy that it has succeeded now."
