Jordan Teze moves to AS Monaco. The transfer had been in the air for a while. The 24-year-old defender has signed a contract with the club from the principality. This makes the transfer of one of the longest serving PSV players from the A-selection final.

The multifunctional defender with the splitting pass began his training as a professional football player at PSV Academy in 2007. It is not an unknown story that he is part of a strong crop along with Cody Gakpo and Armando Obispo. On August 25, 2018, Jordan made his official debut for the main squad against PEC Zwolle. It was the first of a total of 189 duels for PSV 1, in which he scored 4 times and marked 23 goals. In May this year, he completed his Dutch 'treble' with the national championship. He previously won the TOTO KNVB Beker twice and the Johan Cruijff Schaal three times.

Jordan Teze can hardly imagine leaving PSV after almost two decades. "I think I won't realize that until I'm working there. PSV means an enormous amount to me and I'm definitely going to miss it here. This club will remain dear to me forever. AS Monaco was at the top of my list of interested clubs. It is the perfect next step for me. That is why I choose to leave, but I am proud of what I have achieved here."

Director of Football Affairs Earnest Stewart points to PSV's cooperation on the transfer. "Jordan is a child of the club, having served for years in PSV 1. It makes us proud when a self-trained player then gets the chance to move to a bigger league. Jordan has given his maximum effort for PSV in recent years, so we wish him all the best in the Ligue 1. Who knows, we might run into each other in the UEFA Champions League."
