Peter Bosz shared important news at the first press conference after the international period: Luuk de Jong is absent tomorrow, Ricardo Pepi has a starting place and perhaps Hirving Lozano is back in the selection.
What about the internationals, did they come back in good shape?
"The guys who have played internationals have come back well, fit. There have been no injuries. Ricardo and Ismael still scored, others just played well. That's all good for us, so I'm happy with that."
And with the injured?
"Joey Veerman and Jerdy Schouten are on their way back, Jerdy a little later than Joey. They are very important for us, we have lost them for a long time. That's annoying, but we've solved it well. Notwithstanding that we miss them a lot. Hirving Lozano is back with the group and we will see if he can join the training tomorrow. Luuk de Jong will not be there tomorrow anyway. He has to recover from a tap."
Does that mean Ricardo Pepi will play tomorrow?
"Yes, indeed. He has developed very well since his arrival at PSV. We have two excellent strikers in the selection. Only they are two different types. Luuk is better at heading and Ricardo is very strong in depth. We adapt our game to that."
What did you think of Noa Lang 's play at the Dutch national team?
"Very good, in my opinion he was one of the few bright spots at Oranje. It was a lousy pitch, but he played well. Partly because of the state of the pitch, I was glad he was substituted in the 75th minute."
How will you fill in in midfield?
"Mauro is an option, but Malik can also play well there. If Joey and Jerdy aren't there, we'll look for alternatives. We have plenty of those, so that's not a problem. I don't know yet how we will do tomorrow."
Why should PSV not underestimate FC Groningen?
"Because we became champions last year by not underestimating anyone. We have to continue that line this season."
