Mark van Bommel (38) will return to PSV as an individual trainer/coach in training, effective immediately. The Limburger, who played 274 official matches for PSV spread over two periods during his active career, will focus on the midfielders of PSV Under-17, Under-19 and PSV U21.
Van Bommel: 'Beautiful challenge'
"A nice challenge that fits well with my development as a trainer/coach," the former top football player responded. "In the past two years, I have done my internships with several youth teams of PSV, the A-selection of PSV and I am also assistant national coach of Saudi Arabia. I want to immerse myself in all facets of the coaching profession and am happy that PSV is giving me the opportunity to get started in this role."
