Head coach Peter Bosz is bringing Tygo Land to PSV 1 on a permanent basis. The midfielder received that announcement today, on his 18th birthday.
Tygo Land joined PSV Academy in the summer of 2022. There the midfielder stood out for his versatility and technical ability. In the preparation for the current season, he joined the A-selection for the first time. After appearing in several practice matches, he made his debut in professional football on August 12, 2023 against FC Utrecht.
After that, Tygo joined Young PSV. Thus he gained experience in the Premier League International Cup and Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Tygo also played with PSV O19 in the UEFA Youth League. Meanwhile, he continued to train with the main squad on a regular basis, where he quickly convinced Head Coach Peter Bosz: "From the first moment I knew he has enormous talent. He has earned this step and if he keeps working hard many milestones are going to follow."
