If PSV becomes champion, Hans van Breukelen will present the bowl. PSV has assigned that clean task to its former goalkeeper and former member of the Supervisory Board. The 73-time international calls it "a great honor" to officially crown PSV national champions.
Before that happens, PSV needs to collect at least one more point. The earliest that can happen is in the home game with Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday, May 5. If Head Coach Peter Bosz 's formation draws or wins then, it will not depend on other results and the bowl will be presented immediately after the match.
"I think it's a great honor that I get to present the bowl," Van Breukelen said. "I have tremendously enjoyed the good football that Peter Bosz 's team has shown this season. That makes it extra special that I get to present the trophy."
State of service
Hans van Breukelen became Dutch national champion with PSV six times. He also won the European Cup I, three TOTO KNVB Cups and the Johan Cruijff Schaal twice. In total, he played 393 matches on behalf of PSV, 309 of them in the Eredivisie. After his goalkeeping career, he was a member of the Supervisory Board for two periods.
