PSV has renegotiated Lisan Alkemade ’s contract and extended it by two years. The 23-year-old goalkeeper is now under contract through mid-2029. Lisan spent the past six months on loan at AC Sparta Prague but rejoined the team this week at PSV Campus De Herdgang as preseason training began.
This is already the fifth time Lisan Alkemade has signed a contract with PSV. The goalkeeper is entering her eighth season, making her the longest-tenured member of the squad. “I’m having a great time here, so this was actually a very easy decision.”
Coming Home
Over the past six months, Lisan defended the goal for Sparta Prague, helping the team win the double. “It was a wonderful period during which I learned a lot. Of course, I felt a bit homesick when PSV won the championship, but luckily we went on to win the national title as well.”
The Prague club was keen to keep Lisan longer. “They were very satisfied, so those conversations definitely took place. But PSV feels like home to me. The past week really felt like coming home, although I did have to unlearn the Czech football terms again,” she says with a smile.
Technical manager Myrte Kemper-Moorrees, who was Lisan’s teammate until this season, knows better than anyone where her strengths lie. “Lisan is an excellent goalkeeper and, on top of that, a fantastic teammate. Despite her young age, she is one of the team’s cultural leaders. Over the past six months, she has continued to develop in a new environment. That’s why we’re especially happy that she’s back and that she’s extended her contract.”
