PSV O19 again played to a draw in the UEFA Youth League. The talent formation played a 2-2 draw against Olympiacos FC.
PSV O19 started the game energetically and took an early lead through Kyano Penso, who shot the ball in a controlled manner. Halfway through the first half, Manuel Bahaty doubled the lead after a brilliant assist from Shuryjano Cornecion. Despite the strong start, PSV then failed to press. The Greeks got better and better in the game and Paschalis Toufakis scored the tying goal.
Shortly before the halftime signal Olympiacos also got a penalty kick, but goalkeeper Stijn Kuijsten kept his team up with a fine save.
Second half
The accumulated lead was wiped out early in the second half. In the 49th minute Kuijsten could only watch as the ball was shot in from close range: 2-2. The game continued to go back and forth, with chances on both sides. In the closing stages, the Greek team had the most pressure, but thanks to a cat-like save by Kuijsten, PSV held on and the game ended in a draw.
PSV O19 now has five points from four matches. Earlier they won against Union, lost against Leverkusen and drew against Napoli.
