The year 2015 will go down in the books as a very successful year for PSV, culminating, of course, in winning the 22nd national title.

Active on all fronts
This season, Phillip Cocu's formation is doing extremely well on multiple fronts. It is second in the league only three points behind Ajax, in addition PSV continues in the KNVB Cup and joined the last sixteen of the UEFA Champions League. PSV was also the last Dutch club to pull that trick in the 2006-2007 season as well. PSV reached the quarter-finals then.

Impregnable fortress
PSV recorded 13 home victories in the Eredivisie in 2015, the most of any team along with Feyenoord. So the Philips Stadium seems like an impregnable fortress, if you add the three home wins in the UEFA Champions League and the two home wins in the cup. PSV recorded its 26th Eredivisie victory against PEC Zwolle in 2015, one more than in all of 2014. The last time PSV had more wins was in the 2006 calendar year. Then there were 30 wins at home.

Target
PSV also scored 86 goals in 2015 and in the last decade scored more in the Eredivisie only in 2006 (87) and 2012 (99). Luuk de Jong scored his 24th of 2015 in the Eredivisie with the 3-2 against PEC and since the turn of the century only Mateja Kezman scored more. There were 25 in 2002 and 32 goals a year later. PSV further sharpened the Eredivisie record of most games in a row with at least 1 goal. PSV now scored in 44 games in a row. The last time PSV failed to score was on Sept. 28, 2014 at sc Heerenveen.
