The women's team starts a new cup adventure today. Coach Rick de Rooij's team plays in the quarterfinals against PEC Zwolle, the same opponent as last week during the third round of the Eredivisie Cup.
PSV Women kick off against the number six of the Women's Eredivisie at 7:30 p.m. at PSV Campus De Herdgang. Due to the stoppage of amateur competitions, clubs have entered the quarterfinals directly instead of eighth finals. PSV Women fell behind last Saturday against PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie Cup but still won 6-1 with goals from Smits, Harrison, Kuijpers, Strik and Brugts.
Friday night's stake is a place in the semifinals. The women's team reached the final of the national cup tournament in 2014, 2017 and 2018. PSV Women are missing from the matchday squad due to (minor) injuries, at least Kyah Simon, Georgina 'Gio' Carreras, Nurija van Schoonhoven and Nadia Coolen.
