PSV lost the practice match in Malta 2-1 to Hibernians FC. Vloet scored the 0-1 before halftime, after the break Farrugia and Santos Silva were goalscorers.
Goal Vloet before halftime
PSV took the lead after just under ten minutes of play. Vloet put pressure on left back Gomes, who was just about to play the ball back to his goalkeeper and saw the ball disappear between the posts via the PSV player's foot: 0-1. The same Vloet had another chance not much later, but his header ended up on the wrong side of the post. After about half an hour a long-distance shot by Kristensen, which Pasveer had to intervene to prevent the equalizer. Just before halftime, PSV made a quick conversion. Locadia passed the ball to Narsingh, who crossed and Lestienne shot the ball just over the goal. In the last minute, PSV had another breakaway, this time Lestienne was the culprit and Narsingh shot the ball onto the crossbar.

Hits Farrugia and Santos Silva
PSV started the second half with seven new players, including Paal, Alberto and Lundqvist. Lundqvist was close to PSV's second goal, but the Swede headed the ball wide. After an hour of play, the home side equalized. De Wijs failed to defend the ball well, allowing De Lima to take over. His cross was tailor-made for Farrugia, who scored the equalizer: 1-1. Cocu substituted Locadia for De Jong and a little later Moreno came on for De Wijs. PSV seemed - with fifteen minutes to go - to regain the lead through De Jong. The attacker played the ball past goalkeeper Stan van Hoeven, former goalkeeper of Jong FC Den Bosch and FC Lienden and here on trial, but the ball was cleared off the line. In the last minute of official playing time Hibernians scored the winning goal via Santos Silva: 2-1. PSV broadcasted the match live via intenet. Over 7,000 supporters watched that. Later, a summary of this match can be seen on PSV TV.
