Shirt with history
History was the key word in the development of the plain red jubilee shirt. This came to the fore in the discussions PSV had with various supporter delegations. The red color commemorates PSV's greatest successes, such as the achievements in the memorable 1987-1988 season. In that year, PSV became champions, won the KNVB Cup and the European Cup I. Also in 1978 when PSV won the UEFA Cup, it played its home matches in a plain red shirt.
"Unity makes power"
The new jersey also consists of a red shirt, white shorts and white stockings. Made with Nike Dri-Fit technology, the shirt features a white collar, white cuffs with gold detail on the sleeves and the PSV anniversary logo on the chest. The back of the shirt features the year 1913 in striking gold and the neck label on the inside of the shirt features the famous arches that stand at the entrance to Philips Stadium. They bear the motto "Unity makes power." On either side are the dates 1913 and 2013 in honor of the club's centennial anniversary. A special touch is the QR code on the PSV logo on the inside of the shirt, which links to the 100 years of PSV page.
