PSV Women managed to record their fifth win in a row. At the water-cold Sportcomplex De Herdgang the frontrunner won 2-1 against ADO Den Haag.
Many chances
PSV Women took the initiative immediately after the kickoff. Jeslynn Kuijpers was a real plague for her direct opponent. The outside player fired several shots on goal, but ADO Den Haag goalkeeper Barbara Lorsheyd held firm. Kayleigh van Dooren was also close to scoring the opening goal, but the chance was also squandered. Just before the half hour mark, the home team finally scored. After a good individual action by Kuijpers, the ball ended up at the feet of Katja Snoeijs. The top scorer of PSV Women scored her eighth goal of the season from close range to make it 1-0 at halftime.
Snoeijs worth his weight in gold
The first chance after halftime was also for the home team. A brilliant deep pass from Kuijpers ended up with Naomi Pattiwael, but her shot was excellently parried by Lorsheyd. ADO got off the hook and had a number of opportunities for the 1-1 draw. After just under an hour, Chasity Grant headed the equalizer behind Sarasola. PSV had to get going again and shortly after the goal, Snoeijs slid in the 2-1. It marked her ninth goal of the season. ADO tried to force something in the closing stages, but could not keep PSV from a fifth consecutive victory.
