How do you view the opponent, Almere City?
“They’ve shown a completely different side of themselves since the winter break. With a new coach, they’re playing much more aggressively and applying high pressure. It’s no longer the cautious, deep-block style; this is truly a different team. Just look at their matches against the top clubs: against Feyenoord, they didn’t lose until the final minutes; against Ajax, they were the better side; and they also played strongly against FC Twente. In all those matches, they lost by just one goal.”
How is the squad shaping up?
“Walter has participated in training over the past two days, so he’s available. Everyone is on board now, but that doesn’t mean everyone will be on the roster tomorrow. We’ll have to wait and see until the final training session.”
Is there a risk of complacency?
“I don’t believe in complacency. We remain realistic and focus on how we can win tomorrow’s game, and that’s by staying fully focused.”
When can you say that you’re back as a team?
“If we win the next six matches and thus maintain consistent performance over a longer period. We’ve played well against teams like FC Groningen, RKC Waalwijk, and Arsenal in London, but we need to keep it up.”
