Peter Bosz is happy that away supporters will be allowed to attend the ArenA again and notes that his team lacks nothing in terms of sharpness. So proclaimed the head coach at the press conference prior to the topper against Ajax. The coach also praises Mauro JR and hopes that Alassane Pléa will make his comeback this season.
Who all can't play tomorrow?
"Jerdy Schouten, I think is the most obvious. Furthermore, Alassane Pléa and Ruben van Bommel are also still injured. Ismael Saibari 's injury is fortunately not too bad, but he will not be there tomorrow. Furthermore, Anass Salah-Eddine and Ivan Perišić are missing."
How do you put the team on maximum alert?
"Not only at Ajax, but also against PEC Zwolle or Sparta Rotterdam it turned out that that was not necessary. This group has said they want to win every game and the past few games they have also shown they can do that."
Are you happy that away supporters will be allowed to attend the ArenA again?
"Yes of course I am happy about that. As a football fan, I think it's a shame that away supporters are often missing in big matches in the Netherlands. I am happy that supporters are allowed along again and I am convinced that next year we will be there again with a full away section."
What do you think of Mauro JR's qualities?
"I am happy that he will play in my team again tomorrow. This is a player every coach would like to have in there. He is a guy who always delivers and can play very good football. He is one of the captains on my team for a reason. I think he is really good at several positions. I'm glad that physically he's been able to play a tremendous number of games this year."
Do you notice that the match against Ajax is extra alive?
"Of course it is. The top matches against Ajax and Feyenoord are always special matches. In this group is the mentality that they want to win every match. Whether it's against the number last, or against Ajax. With this attitude we will also go to the ArenA tomorrow."
Is it important for the development of young players to get minutes in a top game?
"Of course. You develop as a player by playing football, but in big matches something else comes along with that. For any young player, that's special and good for development."
Can Alassane Pléa get any minutes this season?
"I'm not expecting at this point, but of course I hope so. You have to make the right decision in it and not do it too forced and too quickly. If I get the green light from the medical staff, he will definitely still make minutes."
