PSV played a 2-2 draw against Ajax on Saturday night. The equalizer came twice from the Amsterdam side. The second one, in the absolute closing stages, was a mortal sin, also thinks head coach Peter Bosz.
Peter Bosz
How do you feel about this result?
"Based on the first hour, it was justified. After that we started playing PSV football; good positional play and dominant. Then it's a real shame if you get it so late. We started well of course, but after that we lost so many unnecessary balls."
Could your team have done more on the counter goals?
"Ajax went all or nothing and then you need luck. They had that. I have yet to see if the rebound could have been handled better. That was the case with the first goal: we really step out too late there."
You put Mauro JR at six in the second half. Was that the crucial conversion?
"Then we got a better grip on it, but that was also because of Noah [Fernandez]. Ajax had to chase it constantly from then on and they hardly got any more chances."
Much was said beforehand about the preparation. Was it hard to be sharp anyway?
"I didn't have that feeling, because beforehand the guys were focused. During the game I didn't see that again."
You are critical of your midfielders, is that why you changed them?
"Not only on the midfielders. The whole team did not execute the plan well. In our way of playing, ball possession is crucial. And that ball loss came from everyone. We really weren't played away, but we can do much better."
For you, are these kinds of competitions evaluation moments toward next year?
"I don't believe in one match as an evaluation moment. I take every training and every minute on the field."

How do you guys get on the bus?
"We had few chances against in the second half. Then it's extra unfortunate that it falls so late."
Did you want to show everyone why you guys are national champions and Ajax isn't?
"Yes, but you always want that against Ajax and you actually want that against everyone."
Myron, how did you experience the last few weeks?
"It was wonderful, my first championship. We have a very nice team with a nice staff. Celebrating the title together was great."
