Cocu cited team spirit afterwards as the main reason for the 2-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg. "You didn't see anyone slack for a second today. In addition, we showed that as a team you can have offensive intentions, but also play a good game defensively. That asks a lot from a team," said Cocu, who compared the home match to the game two weeks ago. "I thought we played a good game in Germany as well, only then they had two phases where they could push. We didn't allow that today. We were constant and put in a real team performance. We applied a lot of pressure on the ball and a quick changeover when they lost the ball, we actually didn't give them any time to get into their game."
Dieter Hecking: 'Rightful win PSV'
VfL Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking called PSV's win absolutely deserved. "I want to congratulate PSV, they won well deservedly," the German opened his analysis.
