Veerle Buurman is included in the NXGN 2025. The central defender of PSV Women and the OranjeLeeuwinnen is ranked ninth in Goal's prestigious list, which highlights the most promising talents in women's football.
After Esmee Brugts, Veerle is the second PSV Women player to be selected for the NXGN. Goal describes her as follows: "At the age of 18, Veerle is already an impressive central defender with leadership qualities. A former captain at the youth level, she exudes calmness and confidence. She is quick, reads the game well and positions herself cleverly in defense. Like the best modern defenders, she is comfortable on the ball, calm under pressure and strong in the build-up."
The Azerion Women's Eredivisie is well represented. Besides Veerle, Daniela Galic (FC Twente) Lilly Yohannes (Ajax) and Toko Kaga (Feyenoord) are also included in the list.
