In the category 'Johan Crujff Talent of the Year' season 2024-2025 Veerle Buurman was one of the five nominees. She left behind Lynn Groenewegen (FC Twente), Daliyah de Klonia (Ajax), Danique Tolhoek (Ajax) and Toko Koga (Feyenoord). The central defender stood out this season for her calmness on the ball, game insight and speed. She was a stable force in defense and proved her worth once again in last weekend's Eredivisie Cup final. In the 120thminute , she brought PSV alongside FC Twente with a header, forcing an extension.
