PSV has extended Guus Til s contract until mid-2028. The 27-year-old midfielder's commitment initially ran through until next summer. "This is an important blow for us," responded Director of Football Affairs Earnest Stewart.

Til has been under contract with PSV since mid-2022. During that time, he and his teammates won two national titles, the KNVB Cup, the Johan Cruijff Schaal twice and experienced several highlights in the UEFA Champions League. In 135 official duels for the Eindhoven side, he delivered 36 goals and 23 assists, among other things. "Above all, Guus is a player whose qualities fit very well with the style of play advocated by our head coach Peter Bosz," Stewart said. "In addition, Guus is a very pleasant, combative and experienced personality who is also of great value to PSV off the pitch. Once you have a player like Guus in your selection, you prefer not to let him go. We are extremely happy that we have come to this contract extension."

For Til, he says, the latter was not a complicated choice. "I have already had three successful years here, think PSV is a very nice club and this extension speaks a lot of praise," he explained. "My goals are clear: I hope I can surpass myself every year, want to become champion here every season and also like to advance in the [UEFA] Champions League. We are all going to work very hard for that."
