Guus Til dropped out during training with an injury. As a result, PSV temporarily cannot have the 28-year-old striker, who has already started his rehabilitation program.
The injury represents a slight setback in a so far very strong season for Til. In the league, he has already scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 22 games. He also asserted himself on the highest European stage: in the UEFA Champions League he appeared in all eight matches, in which he was good for two goals and three assists. In the Eurojackpot KNVB Beker and Johan Cruijff Schaal, Til also proved his worth for PSV.
"Obviously I would have liked to continue that line, especially because I felt good and as a team we are working on something very nice," Til said. "But little setbacks like this are unfortunately also part of top sport. I'm going to do everything I can to come back as fast and strong as possible."
