PSV Women experienced a pleasant Sunday afternoon in Amsterdam, winning 1-2 against HERA United today. A good first half was enough for the win, putting it on match point and capable of clinching the first title in history next Friday.

At Sportpark Goed Genoeg, PSV Women got off to a fantastic start and Nina Nijstad opened the scoring after just eight minutes. From a corner kick, it was Sisca Folkertsma who pounced on the goalkeeper, after which Nina reacted sharply and scored her tenth of the season. After this goal Roeland Ten Berge's team remained dominant and it was Renate Jansen who doubled the score. A pass from Riola Xhemaili put Renate in scoring position, who then did not hesitate for a moment and found the net for the sixth game in a row. On the stroke of halftime, PSV even looked to make it 0-3, but Renate was in an offside position and her second goal of the day was disallowed. As a result, it remained a comfortable 0-2 lead at halftime.

Difficult second half
HERA came out of the locker room better and was dangerous at times. However, the Eindhoven last line stood well and prevented an Amsterdam connecting goal for a long time. Fifteen minutes before time, the home team managed to get a 1-2 draw. Shortly after the goal, Nina seemed to score her second after Chimera Ripa crossed the ball. The midfielder came inches short and the cross disappeared in front of the goal. As we have seen more often in recent weeks, PSV Women then looked for corners to finish the game professionally. With two games to go, PSV is four points off the number two spot. And so red and white can make history on Friday.
