PSV Women got three important points thanks to a 3-2 victory at AZ. In Alkmaar, Liz Rijsbergen opened the score, after which AZ took the reins. But in the 75th minute Fenna Kalma scored the redeeming goal. Because FC Twente drew, PSV became period champions.
At a windy AFAS training complex, PSV Women played in the fifteenth round of the Eurojackpot Women's Eredivisie against AZ. PSV Women had a great start to the match and took the lead within three minutes. From far away, Liz Rijsbergen, with a wind-assisted shot, managed to get past the goalkeeper and put her team up 0-1. This goal keeps Liz's fine run alive in which the attacker managed to score or give an assist in every game of 2026 so far. After this goal, Ten Berge's team remained dominant and Nina Nijstad came incredibly close to doubling the lead, but the midfielder saw her effort hit the post. After more than half an hour of play, it was Sara Thrige who had the next big chance, shooting the ball just wide of the goal after a perfectly placed pass from Renate Jansen. Just before halftime, Lore Jacobs tested the Alkmaar goalkeeper once more, who saved her team and made it 1-0 at halftime.
Action-packed second half
AZ came out of the dressing room strong and came alongside within seven minutes after a dubiously awarded throw-in. The goal did not stop there, as Van Lunteren shot 2-1 just five minutes later. After this goal Ten Berge's team showed resilience and it was Sisca Folkertsma who headed in the 2-2 on a pass from Liz. PSV Women continued to play good football after this, which led to several chances. Finally, it was Fenna Kalma who was alert when Liz hit the post. The striker scored the 2-3 from the rebound. AZ pressed a bit more in injury time and even hit the post, but a late equalizer failed to materialize. PSV Women secured a hard-fought 2-3 victory and travelled back to Eindhoven with the spoils.
