PSV U21 earned a point from the game with Top Oss on Friday night. Coach Stijn Schaars ' team had a difficult game against a strong opponent, but in the closing minutes Tay Abed equalized with a fine goal.
PSV U21 started the match with a lot of ball possession, but Top Oss created the biggest chances. Inaccuracies in the build-up gave the home team several opportunities. Sami Bouhoudane came closest to scoring with a good free kick, but his effort hit the post. Shortly before half-time Top Oss took advantage of PSV U21's mistakes to take a deserved 1-0 lead.
Second half
After halftime, PSV U21 also remained sloppy in passing and the Ossians had just that little bit more sharpness in the duels. Top Oss looked emphatically for the 2-0, but PSV U21 held firm. In extra time Tay Abed surprisingly equalized after a nice individual action. In the final seconds a penalty against PSV U21 still seemed possible, but eventually the match ended in a draw after a hard-fought and difficult battle for Stijn Schaars' team.
