A good first half in Emmen gave PSV U21 the three points. After Stijn Schaars ' team faced a deficit within five minutes, the promising team quickly fought back and scored three goals before halftime. In the second half, the home team scored one more goal to make it 2-3.
The home team had a good opening phase and took a 1-0 lead after only four minutes. After 15 minutes of play, the game turned completely around and it was PSV U21 who were calling the shots. Jim Koller was in the right place and was able to shoot in the equalizer on a pass from Sami Bouhoudane, scoring for the third week in a row. Not much later, Sami also scored a goal himself. Fifteen minutes later the third goal for Stijn Schaars ' team followed and it was Jim who scored his second of the day. After a tailored pass from Amir Bouhamdi , the midfielder shot the ball in a controlled manner to make it 1-3 at halftime.
PSV U21 holds firm
In the second half, the home team got off to a good start and increased the pressure offensively. After a good save by Tijn Smolenaars , FC Emmen managed to score a quick tying goal via the rebound, making it 2-3 after 50 minutes. After this goal PSV U21 was dangerous at times and Jim came close to a third goal, but a good save from the Emmen goalkeeper put a spanner in the works. In the closing stages of the match the home team went all out to score a late equalizer, but the good performance of the Eindhoven last line prevented this and PSV U21 eventually won 2-3.
