PSV has managed to tie a young, talented midfielder for longer. Robine Lacroix had an expiring contract, but the 20-year-old international of the Dutch national team has signed until the summer of 2028.

Robine's career at PSV is one out of the book, as the multifunctional midfielder comes from their own youth. There, in the 2022-2023 season, she already achieved great things by reaching the semi-finals of the Eurojackpot KNVB Cup with PSV U21 Women. In 2024, she signed her first professional contract and joined the main squad permanently.

This season Robine has already appeared several times at the kick-off. She did so more than once as a defensive midfielder, but also occasionally as right back. Her fine technique, football intelligence and tackling power enable her to play in both positions. Robine has already played 28 matches on behalf of PSV Women.

Steps taken
Robine is very proud to sign a new contract: "I'm really not done here yet. First of all, I want to gain a regular starting place. In addition, I want to win more prizes, preferably this season of course," she says. "In recent years I have already made many steps here. I have grown as a footballer and as a person. For example, I am a lot more emphatic in the locker room. I'm sure my development can continue here, so I'm happy that we are continuing with each other for two more years."

Technical Manager Marco Knirsch is pleased that Robine will also be part of PSV Women in the coming years. "Robine is a multifunctional player with a lot of future potential. In recent years she has already made many steps and she has the talent and mindset to continue that development. Therefore, we think her role with us will only grow. That she can perform in multiple positions and already has so much experience at a relatively young age is very nice."
