Head coach Phillip Cocu welcomed Luciano Narsingh back to the training pitch last week. The striker, who missed the past two games, is fit enough for a place in the matchday squad for the game against FC Twente, Cocu indicated at the press conference.
'Achievements Twente very handsome'
PSV will take on the team from Enschede on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at the Philips Stadium, which is in sixth place in the Eredivisie despite a tumultuous year that threatened bankruptcy. "That is very good," Cocu said. "The coach (René Hake ed.) deserves compliments for that. He has always remained calm and has managed to put together a good selection with the club with limited resources. It is a squad with a lot of creativity and a team we have to respect."
Willems
Cocu must still do without Jürgen Locadia, Siem de Jong, Jorrit Hendrix and Jeroen Zoet against FC Twente. "Zoet has to use the international period to get fit. For Siem, the game simply comes too early." Jetro Willems, unlike the foursome, is fit, but suffered another setback. He was passed over by national coach Danny Blind for a place in the Orange selection. "He has to fight his way back," Cocu spoke. "I am convinced he will succeed. I myself thought he was slowly getting better again. Only against Bayern Munich were we dissatisfied with him."
