Eight seasons, 338 matches, 186 goals, 86 assists and no fewer than 213 duels as captain of PSV. His years in the red and white form a story that belongs to PSV forever. A story of dedication, character and unconditional club love.

Luuk's PSV adventure began on July 12, 2014, when he signed a five-year contract in Eindhoven. After five seasons, beautiful foreign chapters followed at the likes of Sevilla FC and FC Barcelona. In the summer of 2022, he returned to the old, familiar nest. With his distinctive headedness, exemplary leadership and nose for goal, he underscored that status. The numbers from his PSV years speak for themselves.

2014 - 2015 | PSV champion again
In a season when Memphis Depay grabbed the spotlight, Luuk de Jong showed he was more than just second fiddle. With 20 Eredivisie goals and 26 goals in total (including in the KNVB Cup and UEFA Europa League), he was handsomely second on PSV's top scorer list. The tone was set and PSV became champions again. The club and its supporters had waited eight years for that.

2015 - 2016 | King of Goals
PSV crowned themselves back-to-back champions of the Netherlands and Luuk was the driving force behind that success. He found the net 26 times in the Eredivisie and finished the season with an impressive total of 32 goals, including the UEFA Champions League and Johan Cruijff Schaal. Top scorer of the club and number two on the top scorer list of the Eredivisie. Pure class.

2016 - 2017 | Silent in the storm
The counter stuck at 8 goals this season. A year in which PSV experienced difficult phases as a team and eventually finished third in the Eredivisie. Yet even then Luuk stood at the moments that mattered, a silent force in the storm. No bowl this time, but certainly a leader who continued to wear the PSV shirt with pride.

2017 - 2018 | Hat-trick Hero
With 12 goals in total, including a stunning hat-trick against PEC Zwolle (4-0), Luuk once again proved his worth as a true PSV player. Not every goal is important, unless you score them when it really counts. And PSV became champions again.

2018 - 2019 | The best striker in the Eredivisie
28 premier league goals, 32 in total. Luuk de Jong was the absolute king of the penalty box this season. Top scorer of PSV and shared top scorer of the Eredivisie, together with Dušan Tadić, former Ajax player. The championship just slipped out of his hands, but his dominance stood as a house.

2022 - 2023 | The second chapter
After three seasons in Spain, he returned to the Philips Stadium. With 14 goals in the premier league and four in other competitions in his first year back in the red and white, he immediately showed again who he is: the trusted striker, the leader in the point.

2023 - 2024 | The undisputed leader
29 goals in the Eredivisie, 38 in total, with goals in the UEFA Champions League and KNVB Cup. PSV crowned themselves champions of the Netherlands and Luuk was not only top scorer of the club, but also finished as shared top scorer of the Eredivisie, together with former AZ striker Vangelis Pavlidis. A living legend in top form.

2024 - 2025 | The reigning master
With 14 Eredivisie goals and 18 goals total, he once again led PSV to the championship. Club top scorer, and third on the Eredivisie's top scorer list, he proved once again that he continues to deliver, even though he is saying goodbye to Eindhoven for now.

More than just numbers
Much more than a striker, he is the story of character, strength and red-white pride. In 2023-2024, he let his unprecedented headedness speak for itself with a whopping 16 headed goals: the most of any striker in the top six European leagues. A statistic that underlines his class.

His return to PSV marked the beginning of a new chapter full of leadership, goals and unforgettable moments. More than a hundred goals later, his name is forever intertwined with club history.

In championship years like 2015-2016 and 2023-2024 he was at the forefront: as attack leader, top scorer and figurehead. And when the pressure was highest, he was there. Think of his hat tricks against PEC Zwolle and Fortuna Sittard - games in which he made the difference and made the Philips Stadium explode.

From promising striker to PSV icon. Season after season, goal after goal. His name is in the books and lives in the hearts of every supporter in the stands. And that bond ... that remains. Red and white. Forever.
