A difficult away game awaits PSV this Saturday. Peter Bosz 's team has to visit N.E.C. after the impressive weekday victory over Liverpool FC. Ricardo Pepi will not be available at Nijmegen. The striker was injured in last week's game with the English, and is out of action for an extended period.

The previous mutual duel in Nijmegen ended in a disappointment for PSV. After an impressive run of 20 games without a loss, the Eindhoveners lost at the Goffert Stadium. Goals by Lasse Schöne, Kodai Sano and Sylla Sow ensured a 3-1 defeat, with Johan Bakayoko the only PSV scorer. Earlier this season, however, PSV had little trouble at their own stadium. After a quick red card and goals by Luuk de Jong and Guus Til, the team did not get into trouble again.

Late escape
One of the most memorable matches in Nijmegen took place not so long ago. In the 2021-2022 season, the match seemed to end in a draw for a long time, until Carlos Vinícius scored the winning goal just before time. An excellent cross from Phillipp Max was nicely laid back at the far post by Maximiliano Romero, after which the Brazilian striker was able to tap in from close range.

Results
PSV never lost at home to N.E.C. (42W, 5G), but in away matches the mutual result is not bad either. Out of 47 matches, we won 25 times, drew 15 times and 7 times the points stayed in Nijmegen. The biggest win was in 1995, when the result was 0-5 in favor of Eindhoven. Goal scorers were Ronaldo (2), Peter Hoekstra, Luc Nilis and Philip Cocu.
