On the final day of the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie, Peter Bosz 's team takes on FC Twente at home. In general, PSV keeps warm memories of home matches against the Tukkers, losing only twice since 1973. Next Sunday, PSV will do everything possible to end the season in style.

In the last three editions of PSV - FC Twente, PSV had little trouble with the Enschedeans and a nice win was achieved each time. In 2023, for example, PSV won 3-1 thanks to goals by Xavi Simons, Fábio Silva and Luuk de Jong. For the latter, his goal had a special charge, as for Luuk this was his 100th Eredivisie goal in PSV's shirt. One year later, PSV had a tougher time against the Tukkers and Ricardo Pepi found the net in extremis, securing a 1-0 victory. The last time PSV faced FC Twente at home, Peter Bosz 's team won convincingly. Thus goals by Noa Lang, Malik Tillman, Ismael Saibari, Richy Ledezma and Ricardo Pepi contributed to a generous 6-1 victory.

Dominant at home
PSV usually performs strongly at home against FC Twente. Of the 58 previous encounters, it won 36 times, 18 duels ended in a draw and FC Twente took home the spoils only four times. In these matches, PSV was often treacherous, scoring as many as 134 times while conceding 52 goals.

Number 100
Scoring goals is going well for Peter Bosz 's team this season. Visiting Go Ahead Eagles, PSV scored four more goals, keeping them in the race to reach the hundred league goal mark. If Peter Bosz 's team succeeds in finding the net four times against FC Twente, it will be the third year in a row that PSV has reached the 100 goal mark in league play.

Strong run
FC Twente had a false start to the season, losing three of its first four league games. Since then, the Tukkers have found their way up, losing only twice in the league since September. Only PSV lost less than FC Twente in the VriendenLoterij Eredivisie. Thanks to these good results, John van den Brom's team currently enjoys the third spot in the league table and is in full contention for a ticket to the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
