Sainsbury and Behich miss restart of Eredivisie
Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich will miss the restart of the league in early 2019. PSV's two Australians have been included in the selection by national coach Graham Arnold for the Asia Cup tournament. That starts on Jan. 5 and ends on Feb. 1. As a result, the PSV Socceroos will miss the duels with FC Emmen (Jan. 20), FC Groningen (Jan. 27) and probably also the meeting with Fortuna Sittard on Feb. 3.

Brands: "PSV and Ajax far away from the rest"
Former PSV technical manager Marcel Brands, currently employed by English side Everton, gave an interview in
Voetbal International . The sports executive stated that the gap between PSV and Ajax and the rest of the Eredivisie is large. "Surely I am really worried about the state of Dutch football, because the level of PSV and Ajax is so far away from the other clubs. And that gap will only get bigger. Because where are the others? PSV and Ajax, for example, have very good talents, the through-flow at those clubs is fine. But where is the rest?"

PSV license plate spotted in Belgium: 040-PSV
A PSV license plate, that is of course a beautiful dream for the real PSV'er. And it exists: in Belgium a license plate was spotted with -believe it or not- 040-PSV. The fact that the license plate is white with a red border makes the link with PSV even stronger. Omroep Brabant found that a lot more PSV-related license plates exist.

'Van Ginkel focuses on 2019 - 2020, PSV remains interested '
Marco van Ginkel is unlikely to return to action this season. That is what the Eindhovens Dagblad writes. The midfielder, who wore the captain's armband in the PSV shirt last year, played his last game in May this year. After an injury, Van Ginkel underwent surgery on his knee in July. "He is now taking all the time he needs to excel again carefree and pain-free in the future. The eight-time international is focusing on his recovery and thus, in principle, already on football year 2019-2020. At the moment, no date for a comeback can be planned yet," the medium said. Van Ginkel played the past three seasons on a rental basis in Eindhoven: in the 2015 - 2016 and 2016 - 2017 seasons both for six months, last season in its entirety. "The Eindhoven club remains interested in an acquisition in the future and will depend on Chelsea to determine an asking price in the summer. Van Ginkel came to London in 2013 for over 10 million euros. That is not a viable option for PSV anyway. The last official game Van Ginkel played so far was on May 6, 2018: PSV - FC Groningen. His contract at Chelsea runs until mid-2020."
