The report
Last Saturday an away game for PSV O13. Early in the morning the team traveled to Nijmegen for the match against N.E.C. O13. Looking at the ranking this could be a tough match, N.E.C. was 5th in the league. But after a very good match PSV was able to take the points to Eindhoven.
N.E.C. started the match well, they immediately showed why they are competing at the top. Good combination football and a lot of pressure on PSV. But after about five minutes it was PSV that went along with the good game and slowly became the boss on the pitch. After a free kick from Enzo Geerts, which hit the crossbar, and a corner that was only just headed over, in the 10th minute the goal was scored. Tim van de Heuvel is sent deep over the axis of the field. At first the N.E.C. goalkeeper saved in the one-on-one situation, but the ball bounced away so much that it crossed the goal line. So the deserved lead is in. Seven minutes later it is again Tim who scores. A poor free kick from the 16-meter area is taken badly by N.E.C. Tim gets the ball, sees that the goalkeeper is far in front of his goal? Doesn't think twice and kicks the ball over everyone and into the goal: 0-2. After this, PSV continues to dominate the match. It is Reda El Meliani who gets another chance, but his shot goes just wide.
The second half had only just begun when Enzo tried his luck with a long-distance shot from 30 meters, the ball swerved towards the goal and the goalkeeper was unable to deal with it properly: 0-3. Two minutes later it is Tim who brings the ball perfectly in front of the goal, Rayan Statty is well positioned in front of the goal and can head the ball in with a hard header: 0-4. After this, PSV continues to play well, but does not score anymore. Khaled Rhazak is still dangerous a few times with distance shots. But the balls do not go in.
All in all, a very good game from the PSV side. Not giving anything away and managing to score four goals against an opponent who can play really good football, that's clever. According to coach Tim Wolf it was the best match of the year. So they can build on that. Next week an away game to Rotterdam, where Excelsior is the opponent at Woudestein.
